2007-08: Will miss the first portion of the season before becoming eligible on Dec. 8 ... NCAA transfer rules require Giles to sit out a full year after transferring from Kansas ... Will have a little less than two full seasons of eligibility, including two complete Pac-10 seasons.

2006-07: Enrolled at OSU on Jan. 8 and took part in practice through the remainder of the season.

KANSAS: 2006-07: Did not play for Kansas during the 2006-07 season prior to being dismissed from the program on Nov. 7.

2005-06: Played in all 33 games and made 13 starts as a sophomore ... Averaged 16.9 minutes, 6.2 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.5 blocks ... Ranked seventh in the Big 12 in blocked shots ... The Jayhawks tied for first in the Big 12 regular season and won the Big 12 Tournament title ... Giles played 14 minutes in Kansas’ NCAA Tournament first-round loss to Bradley and scored four points ... Scored a career-high 21 points at Chaminade and tied a school record by making nine consecutive shots ... Scored in double-figures seven times ... His best all-around game came against California with 17 points, nine rebounds and a career-high five blocked shots in 32 minutes ... Had a career-high 10 rebounds against both Arizona and Pepperdine ... During summer 2005, was one of 21 players invited to the USA Basketball U-21 National Team trials ... Was injured on the first day of training and did not continue.

2004-05: Played in 21 games and five starts as a true freshman ... Hampered by an xxxxxxx injury ... Averaged 8.3 minutes, 2.8 points, 2.4 rebounds and 0.9 blocks ... The Jayhawks tied for first place in the Big 12 regular season ... Giles played seven minutes in Kansas’ NCAA Tournament first-round loss at Bucknell and scored one point ... Scored a season-high 10 points at Kentucky ... Grabbed a season-high eight rebounds in 10 minutes vs. Nevada ... Made the Athletic Director’s and Big 12 Commissioner’s honor rolls in fall 2004.

HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Rainier Beach High School in Seattle, Wash., in 2004 ... Averaged 17 points, 12 rebounds and six blocked shots per game as a senior ... Was the runner-up for state player of the year honors and was named the 2004 Seattle Metro MVP... Originally signed with Miami (Fla.) before ending up at Kansas.
