LAWRENCE, Kan. - Darrell Arthur and Russell Robinson each recorded season scoring bests to lead fourth-ranked Kansas to a 100-90 victory against visiting Baylor in Big 12 men's basketball action on Saturday.
With the win Kansas improved to 23-1 overall and 8-1 in Big 12
Conference play. Baylor fell to 17-5 and 5-3 in league action.
Darrell Arthur scored 23 points and recorded a double-double with 10
rebounds, while Russell Robinson scored 22 points, including hitting 14
of 15 free throw attempts.
Baylor was led by Curtis Jerrells, who scored 30 points, the most by

pointers for Baylor.
Three other Jayhawks scored in double figures as Sherron Collins scored
17 points, his third-most this season and Darnell Jackson and Mario Chalmers, each had 10. Chalmers scored all 10 of his points

of his career-best.
Robinson led KU with nine points in the first half and then hit nine of

faced this season and the biggest at home this year.
KU later trailed 20-13 before Russell Robinson ignited a 7-0 run to tie
the score at 20 at the 8:37 mark. That run became the
beginning of a 14-3 stretch, which put the Jayhawks up 27-23.
KU took a 36-33 lead into the lockerroom.
Baylor used an 8-2 run early in the second half to tie the score at 50,
tying the game on a four-point play by LaceDarius Dunn.
After Baylor cut the KU lead to 61-56, the Jayhawks scored on three
consecutive layups to ignite the crowd and push the margin to
67-56. Baylor never got closer than eight points the rest of
the way.
Kansas reached 100 points for the second time this season as the
Jayhawks had previously scored 107 points in the season opener against
Louisiana-Monroe. KU also gave up 90 points, the most by an
opponent since 2003, when Arizona scored 91 in a 91-74 win.
The Jayhawks failed to make a three-pointer for the first time in their
last 271 games. KU was 0 of nine from three-point range,
including an 0 of seven mark in the first half. Meanwhile
Baylor drained 12 three-pointers on 29 attempts.
However, Kansas enjoyed a huge advantage at the free throw line making
36 of 46 attempts, while Baylor was 14 of 18. The teams were even on
