Kansas has put together another solid class. A huge need for the Jayhawks was at the defensive line position, so Head Coach Mark Mangino and Co. went out and secured commitments from a couple of defensive lineman that can come in a contribute early.
Junior college defensive end, Quintin Woods is a monster and is college ready, while highly touted 4-star high school DE Kevin Young of Olathe North HS has enrolled early to begin working towards overcoming the learning curve he will face in college. By enrolling early, Young will have a huge head start going into the Fall season.
The gem of this class is cornerback Prinz Kande of Trinity High School who played in the Offense-Defense All-American game, and according to my colleague, Scout Midwest Recruiting Expert, Allen Trieu, he was the best DB in the game. He's a Scout.com four-star, but I believe he's still underrated. Prinz is a borderline five-star player, and a big score for KU in the State of Texas.
