Smith was born 1/26/90 and son of Lubbock and Yolanda Smith.
Recruiting coach: “Coach Tim Beck recruited me for Kansas. We built a real good relationship. He offered me during my junior year. We established an early relationship, and everything went from there.”
Expect to redshirt?: “From what I’m told, I’m not going to get redshirted. I want to find out what all I have to do, and get it done. I’m good adjusting and adapting, so I think I’ll do well.”
Why KU?: “They were the first one to offer me. I started getting calls from other colleges, but I felt Kansas was there with me the whole time and that showed me they really cared. When I visited I felt at home. I’m pretty sure Kansas is where I need to be.”
