Jocques (pronounced Joe-Keys) Crawford, 5-11 3/4, 230-pound running back
Stats: Crawford rushed for 1,935 yards in nine games last season with 19 touchdowns. He averaged 6.8 yards per carry and just over 190 yards per game. He accounted for over half his team's offense this season. His best game rushed for 328 yards on 42 carries scoring three touchdowns.
Crawford rushed for 1,069 yards as a freshman and scored eight times.
Accolades: NJCAA and JC Gridwire Junior College All-American first team running back and SWJCFC National Junior College Player of the Year for 2007.

Additional Facts: Three year letterman in high school in football, basketball and track at Cordova High School. Crawford plans to major in Business. He likes to bowl and likes outdoor activities such as fishing.

Why KU? "It was a good fit for me. They lost their senior running back, so I just felt like it was a good position for me and with them being in the Big 12 would get more exposure. Then they had a great season this past year and should be highly ranked."
