Justin Springer Talks of his Decision

Justin Springer, from Los Fresnos, Texas, committed to Kansas after a recent visit to Lawrence. Springer talked about his official visit and the reasons for making the switch from Arizona State.

"I committed to Kansas because it was the best place for me," the Scout.com two-star linebacker said. "I really started some good chemistry at camps this summer, and it really feels like home. I felt welcomed there more than any other school."

Justin Springer posted 154 tackles, seven sacks, five forced fumbles, three interceptions and was a 5A second team All-State selection for Los Fresnos (12-1).

"I picked Kansas over Arizona State, Sam Houston State, Air Force and Army," Springer said. "It is just a great atmosphere. I felt like those people over there just wanted me more. I really think it is just the better place for me."

The 6-4, 220-pound defensive stand-out talked of his visit that sparked his commitment.

"I visited Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I had so much fun. I met a bunch of recruits that were really cool. I just bonded real well with the players," Springer concluded.
