The Jayhawks shot 51.6 percent from the field and were 5-of-12 from behind the arc in the first stanza. Keith Langford paced KU with 13 points, while MU's Arthur Johnson led the Tigers with 15 along with six rebounds. The Tigers outscored Kansas 16-10 in the paint and were 16-of-32 from the field. The 'Hawks led by as many as six after a Miles layup at the 6:19 mark. Missouri's Travon Bryant hit a three-pointer with 43 seconds left in the half to tie the game at 40 going into the break.

Johnson led all scorers with a career-high 37 points on 13-of-17 shooting to go with eight rebounds. Ricky Paulding scored 14 points, grabbed seven rebounds and dished out three assists.

KU will return to action on Friday, March 12, at the Big 12 Conference Tournament in Dallas, Texas. The Jayhawks receive a first-round bye and will face the winner of the Missouri/Texas A&M game at 8:20 p.m. in American Airlines Center.
