The latest hitch in the Jayhawks' frontline rotation finds senior Jeff Graves as the probable starter for a 6:30 p.m. game Wednesday against Nebraska.
"I'm going to try to go out with a bang," he said. "I'm looking forward to locking the inside up, and I don't think they're going to be that free this time."

Bryant Nash
Bryant Nash remembers his freshman year at Kansas University as if it was yesterday.
"Kenny Gregory and I were walking on campus and he was telling me, ‘Get ready, it's going to go by fast,'" Nash said of his former teammate.
"That was after a week or two of practice. I was like, ‘I'm already on the countdown.' Now it's my last week in the fieldhouse. He was right, it's gone by fast."

In his final appearance at Allen Fieldhouse tonight, Kansas senior forward Bryant Nash hopes to be spared the embarrassment of a missed dunk, like he had in the final stages of the Jayhawks' win Sunday over Oklahoma. His attempt bounded high off the iron and landed a good 30 feet from the hoop.
"I got it from everybody," said the 6-foot-7 reserve from Carrollton, Texas. "People were calling me from Dallas, saying, 'What happened, man?' Maybe I was trying to dunk it too hard, I don't know."

A 4.0 student who aced a speech class at Kansas University, Brett Olson should be poised and polished while speaking tonight in Allen Fieldhouse.
"I'll be all right ... until I get to Kevin," said Olson, KU's senior men's basketball walk-on from Chanute.
