Lee to miss 6-8 weeks of action

LAWRENCE, Kan. -- University of Kansas junior guard Michael Lee will miss 6-8 weeks of action after suffering a broken right collarbone in practice, KU coach Bill Self announced on Friday.

Lee, a 6-3 native of Portland, Ore., started each of the Jayhawks' first two games and is averaging 6.5 points and 3.0 boards per game in 25.5 minutes of action

"This is a big blow to our team," Self said. "Mike has done so well lately. We will miss his ability on the court greatly, but we might miss his experience and leadership even more. Now our young guys will have to step up and try to replace him, and we will all be looking forward to getting him back."

KU returns to action on Monday night, as the team takes on the TCU Horned Frogs at 10:00 p.m. in Fort Worth, Texas.
