Kansas basketball will honor their rich tradition and heritage at the February 23rd game against TCU in Allen Fieldhouse, where they commemorate 115 years of Kansas basketball.

Included in the celebration is the celebration of the 25th anniversary of Kansas’ 1988 NCAA National Championship team. In the game against the Horned Frogs, the Jayhawks will wear apparel from 1988, including uniforms and warm-ups.

Kansas did a similar thing in 2008 when they defeated Colorado, as part of a celebration, then commemorating 110 years of Kansas basketball.

Much like in 2008, following the game, here will be an invite-only dinner for former coaches, players and managers.

The celebration will honor one of the most storied program in all of college basketball. Kansas has amassed 2,087 all-time victories, ranking second all-time in NCAA Division I.

Kansas’ 55 conference regular-season titles are more than any other school and its eight-straight Big 12 championships is the nation’s longest active streak. They’ve won five national championships, advanced to 14 Final Fours and have had 28 consensus first-team All-America selections.

The Jayhawks have only had eight coaches in 115 years. Current coach Bill Self in his 10th year as the leader of the Jayhawks.
