Kansas redshirt junior cornerback Tyler Patmon is leaving the program for his final season of eligibility.

Kansas junior cornerback Tyler Patmon is leaving the program for his final season of eligibility.

The fourth year junior announced via social media Thursday that he would be headed elsewhere to play in 2013.

“Wherever the Lord takes me for my last year of college ball I'll be thankful no matter what!!” Patmon said via Twitter.

The Round Rock, TX native leaves the program after a 2012 season, where he started all 12 games, making 58 tackles and recording three interceptions.

He played in 35 career games for the Jayhawks, starting in 28 of them, after redshirting in 2009.

Patmon was a recruit of former Jayhawks coach Mark Mangino.
