Kansas senior forward Travis Releford was recognized for his stellar play last week, by being named the Big 12 conference player of the week.

Releford led the Jayhawks to back to back blowout wins over Washington State and Saint Louis, in the CBE Hall of Fame Classic, averaging 20 points per game on 65% shooting, including shooting eight of nine from three point range.

It is the second career Big 12 Player of the Week honor for Releford, who received the honor last January. It’s the first time a Kansas player has won the award this season.

Releford and Kansas host San Jose State in Allen Fieldhouse, Monday night at 8:00. The game will be televised by ESPNU.
