There has been an interesting development in the class of 2014, as 6-8 swingman Andrew Wiggins has opened up his recruitment and now lists Kansas as a potential suitor for the Huntington, WV standout.

Originally, Wiggins was primary being pursued by Florida State and Kentucky, but now it seems he's open to exploring his options.

"They either think that because Kentucky always gets the best players or Florida State because my parents went there," Wiggins told Scout.com Monday. "But my options are still wide open," he added. "People think they can dictate or know where I'm going, but they might be in for a surprise."

In addition to KU, Wiggins also says North Carolina, Syracuse and Ohio State are reaching out to him. He's open to more schools getting involved as well.

"Every school is the same to me right now," Wiggins said. "I don't have any favorites. Even if a new school wanted to recruit me they can. My options are wide open, but a lot of schools aren't recruiting me because of what they think."

As for the Jayhawks, Wiggins has ties to the state. His brother Nick is a junior, playing for Gregg Marshall at Wichita State.

"[Kansas] just started recruiting me and I like that school a lot," Wiggins said. "My brother isn't too far from there."

Wiggins also says he's weighing the possibility of reclassifying his status to the class of 2013, but says he will make that decision with his family.

Stay tuned.
