Frankamp, Team USA roll into FIBA semis
Posted Jul 6, 2012

The Team USA U-17 squad is carving its way through the field at the FIBA U17 World Championships, and Friday advanced to the semifinals with a 113-59 throttling of Canada.

The play of Wichita (KS) North guard and Kansas commitment Conner Frankamp has been a big reason for Team USA's success to date, as he is currently ranked in the top three on the team in minutes, points and assists per game.

Friday wasn't a vintage performance from Frankamp from a shooting perspective - he went just 3-of-8 from the field and scored 7 points - but he did dish out three assists to just one turnover, continuing his penchant for taking care of the basketball, and log a team-high five steals.

Next up, Team USA will take on Spain on Saturday at 11:10 a.m. EDT.
