Frankamp, Team USA win two exhibitions

Wichita (KS) North guard Conner Frankamp and Team USA emerged from a tune-up for the 2012 FIBA U-17 World Championship - which begins June 29 in Lithuania - with a pair of impressive exhibition victories over Latvia and Australia at the Gran Canaria U17 International Invitational.

Conner Frankamp, who has been white hot this summer with impressive performances at prestigious camp such as the Pangos All-American, played significant minutes during both victories.

Though the Kansas commitment's shot wasn't falling - he hit on a combined 4-of-19 from the floor - he distributed five assists and limited his turnovers. If history is any indication, his shot will start falling again soon enough.

Team USA opens play in Kaunas, Lithuania on June 29 with a rematch versus Australia. They will follow that with contests with the Czech Republic, Egypt and France, before wrapping up preliminary play versus China on July 4.

The top four teams from each group will advance to the medal round, with the quarterfinals beginning July 6.
