Andrew White has officially joined the University of Kansas recruiting class of 2012.
A 6-foot-6, 205-pound small forward from Charlottesville (VA) The Miller School, White committed to Head Coach Bill Self and the Jayhawks on Dec. 2 after a lengthy recruiting process. Because the early signing period had expired at the time of his commitment, he had to wait until this month's spring signing period to ink his National Letter of Intent - which he did during a ceremony at The Miller School on Monday evening.
Rated as a four-star prospect and one of the top small forwards in the country by Scout.com, national recruiting analyst Evan Daniels believes he's capable of making an instant impact in Lawrence, Kan. next fall.
"Love what White brings to the table from a shooting perspective," Daniels told Phog.net. "He’s a knock down guy from long range and is also a very good athlete. He will bring a nice dimension to the table at Kansas and should find early minutes as a specialist and rebounder."
Self has once again corralled one of the top recruiting classes in the country, which includes Wichita (KS) Heights star and McDonald's All-American Perry Ellis, Portland (OR) Westview big man Landen Lucas, versatile Plano (TX) Prestonwood Christian forward Zach Peters and White - all of whom have now signed. Additionaly, Seattle Rainier Beach combo guard Anrio Adams remains verbally committed to the program, and is awaiting the results of the ACT he took April 14. He will visit Kansas this weekend.
