Texas Tech was unable to avoid a scoring drought in the second half and drop its third straight game.

* Texas Tech was unable to overcome the hot three-point shooting of Kansas on Tuesday night falling 69-64 inside the United Spirit Arena.

* The Lady Raiders fall to 17-10 overall on the season and 5-10 in Big 12 play, this marks the third straight loss for Texas Tech

* Kansas was dynamite from three-point land going 7-for-14 from the field, while Tech was able to just go 1-for-6 from behind the arc.

* Angel Goodrich led the way for the Jayhawks scoring 20 points on 8-of-16 shooting from the field and 3-for-6 from behind the arc. This marks the most points in a game for the junior since scoring 28 against Texas A&M on January 21st,  and her 8th straight double-digit performance.

* Goodrich also had 8 assists in the game breaking a 24-year-old school single-season record with her 208th assist this season.

* Goodrich was not alone as Aishah Sutherland scored 15 points and Natalie Knight contributed 12 points

* For the Lady Raiders only two players were able to get into double-digits as Chynna Brown led the team with 21 and Monique Smalls went for 12 points.

* Brown’s 21 points tie a season-high which was set back in the second game of the season as she went for 21 against Houston on November 16.

* The Lady Raiders will have to go on the road to try and find their winning hand again as they travel to Texas A&M for the final meeting with the Aggies in College Station as conference foes. First tip is set for 7 p.m. and the game can be seen on FSN.

Texas Tech Quotes

Kristy Curry – Texas Tech Head Coach

On having a let down after Baylor

“It is absolutely disappointing to know that we rebound from Saturday and don’t build on it in a more positive way,” Curry said. “But again I go back to the same thing I’ve said to you guys for a couple of days. We lost and it’s not about close, close doesn’t count, there’s no moral victories. Just the gut-wrenching loss and how much that hurts should motivate you to be ready to play the next game. That’s where our leadership and that’s where we’ve got to mature as a basketball team and play every game as equal as the other and give ourselves a chance to win.”

Post season in question now?

“It’s going to challenge them, it’s going to see what they’re made of, it’s going to see what kind of character they have,” Curry said. “It’s going to challenge our two seniors and the leadership they have. Our backs are against the wall, and we’ve got to continue to fight through this and stay together.”

Chynna Brown – 00 Junior Guard

On the loss

“Everybody hates to lose,” Brown said. “Losing at home just bad feeling, hate it, hate the feeling. Just looking forward to the next few games, getting back into the gym working on what we need to work on.”

Kansas Quotes

CharliciaCeCe” Harper – 24 Sophomore Guard

“I think it was just a great win overall, coming off the losing and we all want to win so bad for Carolyn (Davis) since we can’t play with her, we’re just going to win for her, and Aishah (Sutherland) being a senior” Harper said. “It’s just a great feeling.”
