White plays big in holiday tourney

Each year, the holiday break from school provides an opportunity for some prime-time high school basketball at tournaments throughout the country. One such tournament is taking place right now in Raleigh, N.C., at the HighSchoolOT.com Holiday Invitational – and Thursday one Kansas commitment put on a show.

Andrew White, the 6-foot-6, 180-pound small forward from Charlottesville (VA) The Miller School helped lead his team to a Thursday afternoon victory over Raleigh (N.C.) Body of Christ Christian Academy, 87-63.

The Kansas commitment pumped in a game-high 22 points on 4-of-8 shooting – including 3-of-4 from beyond the arc. He also snagged 11 rebounds, recording a double-double, dished out three assists and grabbed four steals.

For a Premium evaluation of White's play from Scout.com national recruiting analyst Evan Daniels, head over to our thread in The Sports Bar, our discussion forum for Phog.net subscribers.

The victory sets up a match-up between The Miller School and Southborough (MA) St. Mark's School - which features Michigan-bound Nik Stauskas and Arizona-bound Kaleb Tarczewski - Friday morning.

Be sure and check the event's Web site for frequent updates and stats from all the action.
