Originally slated to announce his college decision at long last Wednesday afternoon, Bradenton (FL) IMG Academy combo forward DeAndre Daniels decided he needed one more day to nail things down.

Daniels - the top prospect left on the board in the Class of 2011 - is down to a final three of Kansas, Oregon and Texas according to IMG basketball director Andy Borman.

Speculation late Wednesday seemed to center around Texas as his school of choice, but Daniels himself has been tight-lipped.

The Jayhawks were considered to be the favorite to land the 6-foot-8 through much of the winter and early spring, and remain a strong factor at the midnight hour of his recruitment.

Borman expected the announcement to come Thursday morning, so check back with Phog.net for the latest.
